Once upon a time, a man bought a house that was built in 2008. In the kitchen of this house sat a KitchenAid electric glass cooktop (MSRP $900-$1,500).
This man, however, did not like electric cooktops. Perhaps he was a culinary purist who believes cooking over fire is the only was to throwdown in the kitchen. Regardless of his reasoning, this man decided to replace the electric cooktop with a gas equivalent.
What then was the fate of the electric cooktop, you may be wondering?
Well, this man next makes the benevolent decision to list this very nice and nearly new electric cooktop on craigslist.com for $125, to which I find and immediately counter offer $100 and secure for our home.

Now I need to remodel the kitchen so it’s worthy of this cooktop.
